Midsummer´s eve

Today it´s midsummer´s eve. Wonderful! The whole country (sweden) goes doolally. We take the day off and general we start drinking beer at noon. Thoose of us that drink that is of course, but in sweden almost everyone drink at midsummer´s eve. We´re eating herring, potatoes, strawberrys and cream, drinking flavoured schnaps, singing songs and dances around a maypole. Sounds crazy?
At midsummer we swedes get like nationalistic, wearing blue and yellow T-shirts. Just like when it´s european championship in football. I´m acctually free from work for four days, well, I´m going to build a balcony at home, but from the photography i´m free.
The picture above is from midsummer´s eve 2007. It´s my friends Lina and Marcus´s dog Hamlet and my other friend Ulrika´s new cat, that I´ve forgotten the name of. We had to keep them apart the whole evening, they did not like that. Off course they wanted to play with each other. It´s a fun shot. David and Goliat, friends apart and so on. Are they trying to find some way to get by the barrage?
